Back in April, Pornhub announced that the users would be able to pay in cryptocurrencies for premium subscriptions. Half a year after, less than one percent are using the feature.
Recently, Pornhub revealed that cryptocurrencies presently account for “less than one percent of purchases made” on the platform. Yet the company remains optimistic on the subject. “That being said, we expect to see widespread adoption of crypto[currency] and Blockchain on our site in the near future,” a representative said.
Currently, there are three cryptocurrencies accepted on the platform: Verge, ZenCash and TRON. Pornhub says it offers payments in“cryptocurrencies that put user privacy and security at the forefront,” though only Verge and ZenCash fall under the definition.
