As is well-known, the antivirus developer who has built himself a guru’s reputation in the cryptocurrency world promised that Bitcoin would reach $1 mln and his predictions sounded somewhat vague, based on nothing but his reputation and were extremely bullish.
This time the man has come up with a reason clear to anyone– he is going for the US presidential post. If McAfee gets elected in 2020, he claims, Bitcoin will go up to $500,000.
Plans for pre-election run-up
In a recent video on YouTube McAfee promises to introduce digital coins to the political environment if he succeeds. His intentions are to create great awareness for cryptocurrencies during the pre-election campaign, which is also supposed to raise the market sentiment.
Of course, apart from Bitcoin and the Co, McAfee reckons that his potential work as President would be beneficial to his antivirus software company. He believes that it could play a great part in the US political life since the States are on the brink of a cyberwar and that his company, specializing in security and privacy, can help the country win it.
Many sarcastic comments followed on the Internet asking, whether McAfee would start his election campaign with his manhood or without it since he promised to eat his penis publicly, should his predictions on high BTC price fail to come true.
McAfee disagrees with SEC
After the chairman of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) Jay Clayton called all ICO tokens as securities earlier this year and then insisted on it in his later speeches and interviews, McAfee set up a heated argument in Twitter, disagreeing and promising to make SEC change its attitude.
Still, despite all his arguments and anger, McAfee says that he is “submitting to the law.”
