Finland’s Government Holds 2,000 Bitcoin

Finland’s government owns around 2,000 Bitcoin that they have accumulated from dozens of raids beginning in 2016. The government will be able to convert the Bitcoin to fiat once a court ruling regarding the funds becomes binding. Until that point in time, the Finnish government has made it clear that the authorities handling the coins are prohibited from storing them on online exchanges.
