On Feb. 4, Dash Thailand has revealed that Jatujak market, which is considered to be one of the largest outdoor markets on the planet, has its first shops accepting the DASH cryptocurrency. This is a major step for the coin’s adoption in the Thai market given that the market collects over 200,000 visitors every weekend.

Slow but steady

More than 4,800 merchants around the globe now accept DASH. The pace of adoption is still comparatively slow, and the recent KFC snub didn’t help the case. However, on-boarding the largest weekend market in the world is a huge step forward.

The JJ market, which is also commonly called ‘Jatujak’ and ‘Chatuchak’, is considered to be a major tourist attraction in Bangkok.
