Bitmain Co-Founder Jihan Wu seems to be moving to set up a Bitcoin mining operation in Northwestern US, document shows.

Washington State corporate registration document shows that Jihan Wu is the sole governing person of Ant Creek LLC, a California-based company registered on June 28, 2017. The company that receives lawsuit on Ant Creek’s behalf is in Washington State.

The port of Walla Walla was considering leasing land to Ant Creek for Bitcoin mining operation; the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin reported early March.

The move has not been publicized by Bitmain, who operates some of the largest mining pools in the world.

Beijing-based Bitmain has been seeking to expand overseas, having been reported to consider Canada for Bitcoin mining and set up shop in Switzerland this January.
