The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) reported that they received 1,289 Bitcoin-related reports in 2017 with total losses from these reports equal to $1,218,206. The reports prompted the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to issue a regulatory guidance statement on ICOs.
